Jacksonville FL Family Photographer {Flower Field Time}

Its that time of year again. The sun is shining, the bees are buzzing, everyone’s noses are running because there is pollen everywhere! Spring is near! And that can only mean one thing: Flower Field sessions! That’s right! Flower field sessions are already being announced. Yes, we have a couple more months until the field is ready to go, but now is the time to book your spot for this amazing once in a year opportunity.

The flower field is located down in Hampton, FL, so its about an hour away from Jacksonville. However, it is totally worth the drive! It is on someone’s personal property, so I do want to ask that each and every one of my clients that books, please be respectful of their land and remember to not litter and please don’t pick the flowers or trample them. I always like to make sure that the area looks better after I leave, than before. We want to continue to be able to use this property, and I think being kind and grateful is the best policy!

With your session fee, you will receive a 30 minute session on this gorgeous property, 10 digital images delivered via download, as well as the print rights to your images. I will have age appropriate props for the littles, and of course, a huge fun blanket for our bigger family photos. Bring your water, bug spray and favorite outfit, and lets make a date of this! I, for one, can’t wait!

Jacksonville FL Family Photographer | Fun with the S Family

This family came to me because they wanted some updated images of their family of four and were really wanting to get some photos on their walls. We originally planned for a different location, but after the freezes and rainy windy days, the other location was looking pretty sad. So, we compromised and went with an old standby, Walter Jones. They’d had photos done here before, so my mission was to try and get different looking images than what they already had. I think we succeeded.

We had such a fun time walking around and chatting, and the kids had a blast running and chasing each other. What a fun family! I loved just stepping back and photographing them being themselves. Its always fun as a photographer when your clients are laughing and not paying attention to the camera. We were able to get a huge variety of posed and lifestyle images. Here’s just a small sampling from their completed gallery.

Jacksonville FL Family Photographer {The beach with the J Family}

This family had a session scheduled it seems like, forever ago. But the weather kept making us put it off over and over again. Finally, it looked like we were going to have a wonderful evening, so we quickly got to the session spot. It was pretty dismal when we got there. However, I knew I could work a little editing magic so we went ahead with the session.

This sweet little guy was not a fan of me taking his photo. He was way more interested in playing in the water than the crazy lady running around with a camera. The pup pretty much felt the same, haha.

However, we were able to get so many great images for this family’s session and I hope they love them as much as me.

I can’t wait to see what the future has in store for this gorgeous family and can’t wait to see them again!

Jacksonville FL Family Photographer {Downton Session with the A Family}

Okay, so this may be one of my all time favorite sessions now. I’ve shot downtown often, but mainly stuck to the friendship fountain area and nearer to San Marco. When this mom contacted me, she said she wanted super urban: graffiti, grunge, brick, etc. I can’t tell you how psyched I was to do this session. I love trying new locations and when I do I feel totally inspired and creative. We discussed where exactly we were to meet and decided to work around the old library and Florida theater.

When I met this family at the location I was stoked. They were totally hipster feeling and I could just feel that it was going to be a great session. We walked all over downtown and when we spotted a fun wall or cool detail we totally stopped and took a few photos. It was fantastic. But, enough talk. I’ll let the images speak for themselves!

Jacksonville FL Family Photographer {A day at Walter Jones with the L Family}

This adorable family came to me for family photos. They mentioned they wanted something rustic, but with buildings and large trees. Immediately, we all decided that Walter Jones park fit the bill pretty much perfectly. We met up on Saturday morning and the weather was so nice. It wasn’t too hot, it wasn’t too cold, it was just perfect. We ended up walking around a ton since it was pretty packed with other families but we found perfect little areas to get gorgeous images.

We played, we laughed, I sang silly songs to get cute gummy baby grins. All in all, it was just a wonderful morning with a super sweet family! I can’t wait to work with them again!
