Oh I love maternity sessions! I especially love those sessions with the couple and their older children. The love that I capture and the anticipation from both the parents and the new sibling to be always fills me with excitement. I enter these sessions so excited to meet the family and learn all about mom’s pregnancy, expectations, plans, and dreams. We always talk and laugh, and its just such a fun type of session.
This session was so amazing and I walked away feeling like I had a new friend. Mom, Samantha, and I chatted like we were old friends. Her sweet little guy was SO amazingly adorable and we had fun playing around. Dad was super funny and had me cracking up the entire time. I cannot wait to meet this little guy or girl in a few weeks for their newborn session! I’m sure it will be just like catching up with old friends!

Jacksonville FL Mommy and Me Mini Session

I’m so excited to announce these upcoming minis! Mommy and Me sessions have quickly become some of my favorite sessions to do. What is a mommy and me session, you ask? Or maybe not ask, but I’ll tell you anyway. A mommy and me session is just as it states. Its an exclusive photo session for mom’s and their little ones. Whether it’s a first time mom a brand new infant, or a mom teenagers or even adult children, this is a session to showcase the relationship between a mom and her children. As a mom myself, I know I don’t have a lot of images with just me and my children. I’m usually the one behind the camera capturing the moments of my children’s lives, including those moments with their father. I know most mom’s are like this. This kind of session gets us out from behind the camera and in the picture with our sweet little ones we love so much.
This year, I’ll be doing my mommy and me minis on the beach for gorgeous sunset sessions. We will take a few beautiful posed images, and also include many images with mom and children just connecting. This type of session is all about the connection between mom and child.
What better mother’s day gift could you give your mom than the gift of timeless memories captured in beautiful details?
Secure your spot for these special sessions now before they are all gone.

Its that time of year again. The sun is shining, the bees are buzzing, everyone’s noses are running because there is pollen everywhere! Spring is near! And that can only mean one thing: Flower Field sessions! That’s right! Flower field sessions are already being announced. Yes, we have a couple more months until the field is ready to go, but now is the time to book your spot for this amazing once in a year opportunity.
The flower field is located down in Hampton, FL, so its about an hour away from Jacksonville. However, it is totally worth the drive! It is on someone’s personal property, so I do want to ask that each and every one of my clients that books, please be respectful of their land and remember to not litter and please don’t pick the flowers or trample them. I always like to make sure that the area looks better after I leave, than before. We want to continue to be able to use this property, and I think being kind and grateful is the best policy!
With your session fee, you will receive a 30 minute session on this gorgeous property, 10 digital images delivered via download, as well as the print rights to your images. I will have age appropriate props for the littles, and of course, a huge fun blanket for our bigger family photos. Bring your water, bug spray and favorite outfit, and lets make a date of this! I, for one, can’t wait!

Jacksonville FL Family Photographer | Fun with the S Family

This family came to me because they wanted some updated images of their family of four and were really wanting to get some photos on their walls. We originally planned for a different location, but after the freezes and rainy windy days, the other location was looking pretty sad. So, we compromised and went with an old standby, Walter Jones. They’d had photos done here before, so my mission was to try and get different looking images than what they already had. I think we succeeded.
We had such a fun time walking around and chatting, and the kids had a blast running and chasing each other. What a fun family! I loved just stepping back and photographing them being themselves. Its always fun as a photographer when your clients are laughing and not paying attention to the camera. We were able to get a huge variety of posed and lifestyle images. Here’s just a small sampling from their completed gallery.

Jacksonville FL Wedding Photographer {Justin + Nicole}

If you follow my work, you know that I don’t usually photograph weddings. I prefer to do more newborns and children, but every once in a while I will photograph a wedding for a special couple. This couple just happens to be one of those. This is my gorgeous cousin Nicole and her new husband Justin. I photographed their engagement session last spring in the flower field. You can see it here.
They got married on January 16, 2016. It was a chilly, rainy day, but that didn’t stop it from being one of the most beautiful weddings I’ve attended. And I’m not just saying that because it’s my cousin’s wedding. The ceremony was held at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Jacksonville Beach. Then we travelled to the reception at Queen’s Harbor clubhouse. It really was beautiful and I hope the images capture that for the happy couple.
Congratulations you guys! I wish you a long happy life together. Love ya!
