Jacksonville FL Wedding Photographer {Justin + Nicole}

If you follow my work, you know that I don’t usually photograph weddings. I prefer to do more newborns and children, but every once in a while I will photograph a wedding for a special couple. This couple just happens to be one of those. This is my gorgeous cousin Nicole and her new husband Justin. I photographed their engagement session last spring in the flower field. You can see it here.

They got married on January 16, 2016. It was a chilly, rainy day, but that didn’t stop it from being one of the most beautiful weddings I’ve attended. And I’m not just saying that because it’s my cousin’s wedding. The ceremony was held at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Jacksonville Beach. Then we travelled to the reception at Queen’s Harbor clubhouse. It really was beautiful and I hope the images capture that for the happy couple.

Congratulations you guys! I wish you a long happy life together. Love ya!

Jacksonville FL Engagement Photographer {Surprise Proposal on the beach}

This is totally not my usual type of photography but when my friend approached me about photographing this, I said of course! I met this couple through some church friends and was completely honored to be a part of their surprise proposal.
I headed out to the beach, completely unaware that the Blue Angels were practicing for their air show so I got to the beach and was completely puzzled why there was no parking. Finally I got a spot and headed out to the beach to meet my friends that were setting up where he would propose. I hung out around the area and waited until I saw them headed my way. Then, I just captured the magic, including the Blue Angels practicing over the ocean, which helped me get an amazing image that I know the happy couple loved.

Enjoy!

Jacksonville FL Family Photographer {An Evening Downtown with Friends}

It’s always such an honor to photograph friends, especially ones you haven’t seen in a while. This mama is a dear friend of mine from middle school. We’ve kept up through facebook and occasional get togethers, but it had been quite a few years since we last saw each other. When she messaged me to book family photos, I was ecstatic. We talked about many different areas to do their shoot, but we kept coming back to downtown. I was totally game. I haven’t shot downtown in a long while so I was excited to get back there.

We started at Treaty Oak. It was SO gorgeous. I’d never been there before. I will be going back, that’s for sure! We made sure to get family photos, as well as a few of just the couple 😉

After we finished there we headed over to Friendship fountain. It was PACKED. Apparently its a great place to congregate before prom. Who knew? Luckily I can photoshop out all those extra people haha!

Jacksonville Engagement Photographer {Romance in the Flower Field}

Okay y’all. I don’t generally do engagements, but this gorgeous girl is my cousin and came to me about perhaps photographing her and her fiancé. Of course, I couldn’t turn down that opportunity. Who could? So I trudged out to the flower field one last time and OOOOH am I so glad I did. Seriously, I love engagement sessions. I really want to do more of them. They are so amazingly fun, and when you get such a gorgeous couple like this combined with the stunning flowers and sunset, well, magic happens.

And magic did happen.
